Character designs and concepts for the animation, including a character line-up, backgrounds, and layouts. The visual style was developed to emulate the look and feel of early 2000s DC superhero television series, such as Batman Beyond and Static Shock. Characters were adapted directly from the Scarlet Knight comic book series, with all artwork tailored to fit a stylized, animation-friendly TV format. The goal was to stay faithful to the source material while optimizing the designs for clarity, motion, and strong silhouette appeal in animation.

"note to self" Masters Thesis Film Trailer
Trailer for my RIT Thesis Film "note to self" created 2019 as part of the completion of my masters in 2d animation.
CONTENT WARNING: This film contains imagery and themes of mental health, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
On the verge of surrendering to despair, a girl descends through a surreal landscape shaped by her traumas, fears, grief, and doubt — accompanied only by the voice of her darkest thoughts. But at the precipice of darkness, she is confronted by a vision she never expected: her future self. Will she listen… or let go?
Character designs and concepts for the film. Includes a character turnaround sheet for animation, various pose studies, different hair/body explorations, as well as colored thumbnail shots for the first draft of the film.
"Id of the Perverse" 2018 Animated Horror Film (Rated R)
CONTENT WARNING: Gore/Violence
“Id of the Perverse” is a short horror animation about a young woman's gory intrusive thoughts — and the fine line between indulging a pesky neurosis and welcoming a supernatural possession. As she battles a rising tide of violent mental imagery, her will to resist begins to unravel. Visions blur into reality, and eventually, entertaining the disturbing fantasies draws them to manifest and pursue her in a sinister external form. Rendered in a bold, graphic style, the film visualizes the invasive mental spirals that many quietly endure.
Character designs and concepts for the film. Includes a character turnaround sheet for animation, various pose studies, color and line style explorations for the scene/character, and some creepy concept art from pre-production.

"shadows need light to exist" - 2015 Senior Thesis Animation Exhibition
Artist Statement — “Shadows Need Light to Exist” (2015)
Senior Thesis, BA in Fine Arts, University of Rochester
Shadows Need Light to Exist is an introspective mixed media installation that explores personal growth, emotional struggle, and the duality of the human condition. The work unfolds through a series of animated projections layered over physical sculptural environments, guiding the viewer through an allegorical journey alongside a young girl. As she traverses surreal, symbolic spaces, the protagonist is stalked by a dark, ever-present shadow—her own inner weight, grief, and fear. Each stage of the installation represents a different emotional trial, drawing from themes of trauma, identity, and psychological resilience.
In the final sequence, the girl confronts a specter of her darker self—no longer as an enemy, but as a reflection to be acknowledged and understood. It is through this act of acceptance that she finds the strength to carry her experience forward, no longer fragmented, but whole. Just as the many colors layered together against the light cast a dark shadow, within us live the experiences, thoughts, and fractured pieces that form the shape of who we are—defined by the luminance we choose to follow.
This thesis represents a personal meditation on the necessary coexistence of darkness and light within us, and the quiet, difficult process of integration that leads to healing.
